Cha Eunwoo is making every moment count before his enlistment, determined to keep his military hiatus as brief as possible.

According to music industry sources on July 15, Cha Eunwoo recently completed work on his upcoming album and is currently wrapping up post-production. He also filmed the music video over the course of two intensive days last week. The album, which features dual title tracks, is scheduled for release this September—after he officially begins his military service.

This preemptive strategy reflects a growing trend among male celebrities, many of whom are front-loading content to maintain visibility during their time away. Cha Eunwoo, already lined up for the release of Netflix’s The WONDERfools and the film The First Ride, is expected to remain a steady presence in media through the first half of next year. Though fans won’t see him on stage, they’ll still hear him—his new album promises a sonic presence that bridges the gap.

Last year in February, he debuted his first solo mini album, ENTITY, which achieved over 210,000 in first-week sales. The music video for its title track “STAY” featured India Eisley, daughter of legendary actress Olivia Hussey, drawing global attention.

On July 28, Cha Eunwoo will begin fulfilling his mandatory military duty. He has been accepted into the Republic of Korea Army’s military band. Prior to his enlistment, he bid farewell to fans with three final fan meetings: one on July 12 at Kyung Hee University’s Grand Peace Hall in Seoul, and two on July 15 at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena.
